Idowu triple jumps to gold!

Idowu leaps for gold.

In the run up to the Olympics its good to see our future talents doing well. The British triple jumper Phillips Idowu scored the longest leap in the world this year. He won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

He leapt 17.56m; his team-mate won silver with 17.47m. The two did a great job stealing the show. Britain did really well elsewhere as well, as Nicola Sanders broke the British record in the 400m race earning the gold medal.

Let’s hope we do as well in the Olympics as we have at the Championships, how do you think we will fare in 2012? Do you think the Government will reach its target in providing a renovated and fully functioning stadium? Has the true meaning of athletics been lost to financial gain? I’ll let you decide.

Elizabeth Hurleys wedding party!

Mr and Mrs Nayar
Elizabeth Hurley has found true love after marrying businessman Arun Nayar in the cosy Cotswold’s. They had a private ceremony in a castle on Friday, away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. This is something, which many celebrities are opting for as they rarely receive privacy from the pressing paparazzi! However, do celebrities make their own beds, and therefore ask for this lifestyle?

Despite wanting such a low-key event, they celebrated in style in the Cotswold’s with famous guests, including Kate Moss and Sir Elton John. Does this sound like a contradiction? Wanting to distract media attention, and yet inviting the media’s main targets? Or should they be free to invite who they want?

The Locals have given them their vote by displaying good luck signs in their shops, wishing Liz the best of luck. There are rumors that Elizabeth is flying with new hubby Arun to India for a second celebration. These celebrities certainly know how to party; if this has intrigued you then do share your views on current star wedding celebrations.
